M.Sc., Telecommunications · Electrical & Computer Engineering Specialist (New Computer Technologies)
Milica’s 17+ years connect hands-on engineering with technical leadership, project delivery and cybersecurity. At Telekom Serbia, she worked on nationwide IP Television Services, middleware and headend platforms — across Linux and Microsoft servers, databases, Cisco networking and security infrastructure — before moving into SW engineer & RNO engineer responsibilities, developing RF kanali in C++/MFC and working with Ericsson OSS and Nokia/NSN mobile networks.
At TeleGroup, her progression through System Engineer, Video Team Leader, Project Manager, Cyber Security Engineer, PM and Cyber Security Product Manager roles connected Verimatrix DRM, F5 BIG-IP LTM and complex platform migrations with team development, vendor coordination, Check Point solution assessment and a CyberArk PAM proof of concept. Quality Assurance, Quality Control and acceptance testing supported this work throughout its delivery lifecycle.
As Founder, Information Security Consultant, virtual/fractional CISO, she brings that experience into security priorities, governance and management decisions — with an understanding of how architecture, operational dependencies and implementation affect the business.
VLK InfoSec Consulting helps organizations understand cyber risk, establish practical responsibilities and plan improvements around their business priorities.
Milica’s 17+ years of experience connect electrical engineering, software, production systems and cybersecurity. Nearly eleven years at Telekom Serbia spanned IP Television Services, middleware and headend platforms, software development and Radio Network Optimization across Serbia.
Curiosity has always taken her beyond the boundaries of a job title. During the nationwide introduction of IP Television Services, she learned across departments, supported by colleagues who generously shared their knowledge. Following the service from the headend and network to the customer’s set-top box helped her build an end-to-end understanding of how the whole system worked.
That habit continued through Radio Network Optimization, software development, systems operations, technical leadership and cybersecurity. Security was part of the work from the beginning: protecting access, configuring network controls, validating changes and maintaining service availability.

Engineer for IPTV services · Middleware, HeadEnd and Network Engineer
Working on IP Television Services, middleware and headend platforms during the service’s initial rollout in Serbia meant understanding a complex enterprise architecture, not just one component. Milica’s work connected Linux and Microsoft servers, SQL databases, DHCP, Cisco switches and Cisco ASA firewalls with distributed sites and customer set-top boxes.
Her responsibilities included installation, testing, hands-on troubleshooting, configuration, firmware upgrades, software updates, test-case validation, redundancy checks and procedures for field engineers. The environment also included CDN, streaming and video encoders. Learning alongside colleagues across departments helped her connect the service’s technical dependencies from end to end, across a nationwide environment.
Service protection was part of the role from the beginning, including device authentication and user authorization for access to live IPTV, Video on Demand (VoD), playback and related services.

Milica moved into Radio Network Optimization in 2011, during rapid network expansion and successive HSDPA, HSPA and additional-carrier deployments. Her role combined software development, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and Radio Network Optimization (RNO), with responsibility across the software lifecycle: requirements, coding, testing, deployment and validation in operational systems.
She developed and maintained RF kanali, a C++/MFC application used by RAN and RNO engineers to bring together configuration data from Ericsson and Nokia/NSN environments. The work covered MSC, BSC and RNC definitions, GSM/UTRAN cell parameters, antenna and radio-network information, cross-system consistency checks, reports and configuration-file generation.
She tested generated configurations and network behavior using Ericsson OSS and Nokia/NSN tools, working with operational statistics and engineer feedback. She also participated in the evaluation, integration and testing of optimization software, including Optimi tools, and supported planning-data updates in AIRCOM.

Engaged on a freelance basis specifically for an IoT LoRaWAN people-tracking project. The customer had returned the equipment because the solution was not working as expected.
Within two weeks, Milica identified the problems. She then returned the equipment to the customer site, carried out testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and supported handover and user training.
The work covered GlobalSat GPS trackers, Kerlink LoRaWAN gateways, network-server integration and the TrackSphere and TrackMap applications. It combined troubleshooting, configuration validation, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and end-to-end testing at the customer premises.

After a short career break for family responsibilities, Milica joined TeleGroup through a freelance QA/QC engagement in June 2019, followed by a full-time role later that year. Across six years, her work developed from IoT and LoRaWAN testing into complex production systems, team leadership, project delivery and cybersecurity.
Provided 24/7 on-call support to meet contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA) obligations in a highly redundant IPTV/OTT production environment. Responsibilities covered device authentication, including Huawei, Skyworth and SoCKEM set-top boxes (STBs), and user authorization for live IPTV, Video on Demand (VoD), playback and related services.
Worked with Verimatrix DRM for IPTV, integration with the Irdeto multiDRM system, and technical support for OTT application development. This connected content protection and access controls with operational troubleshooting, integration testing and service availability.
As a System Engineer, then Video Team Leader and Acting Project Manager, she worked on IPTV/OTT platforms, Verimatrix VCAS DRM and Irdeto multiDRM. She rebuilt operational knowledge, mentored junior engineers and coordinated controlled upgrades. As Project Manager, she led phased modernization involving servers, F5 BIG-IP LTM replacements, vendor integrations and migration to a new location, with service continuity central to delivery decisions.
Her subsequent Cyber Security Engineer, PM role brought partially hands-on work with F5 BIG-IP, Check Point and related technologies, alongside security solution evaluation. A CyberArk PAM proof of concept involved privileged access, vault-managed credentials and session recording. In her Cyber Security Product Manager role, she connected customer needs, vendor capabilities and engineering delivery, with group-level cybersecurity program coordination.
